During World war II when homosexuality was illegal and homsexuals could be shot, two gay soldiers wrote love letters to each other. One of them read: “Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all our letters could be published in the future in a more enlightened time? Then all the world could see how in love we are.” Their letters were found and have now made into a book.
